“LIPKI” Young Writers Forum in Saint Petersburg announced the open call 2020
In August, Saint Petersburg will host the 20th Forum of Young Writers of Russia, CIS and foreign states – the legendary “Lipki”. Approximately 150 authors will assemble in the city. The Fund of Social-Economic and Intellectual Programs as the Forum’s organizer announced the acceptance of the writers' applications. To take part in the forum authors must be under the age of 35 and write in Russian.
Selected authors will take part in workshops of the editors of famous literary magazines, while based on the forum’ results, masters will define the scholarship-holders. Furthermore, preliminarily selected texts may be submitted for publishing in literary magazines.
Literary works are accepted in the following genres: poetry, prose, literary critic, playwriting, children’s literature, Russian translations from the national languages of RF nations. Successful applicants are given free accommodation and meals.
During two previous years, the Forum took place in Ulyanovsk. Ulyanovsk authors continually entered into the Forum as participants and scholarship-holders (Vyacheslav Savin, Gala Uzryutova, Daniel Nozdryakov, Mariya Zavadskaya).
